Monkey: Journey to the West

The Vinyl Factory present Jamie Hewlett / 'Monkey: Journey to the West'

A Limited Edition Art and Vinyl Box Set

Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett can do no wrong. Their latest project 'Monkey: Journey to the West' had critics frothing at the mouth before it even arrived at London's O2.

Film critic Mark Kermode sums it up accurately, eloquently describing Hewlett as 'Britain's foremost graphic art rebel'. Together with Albarn they are an unstoppable duo; their artistic vision being hailed as an original, inspiring tour-de-force.

The Vinyl Factory, who specialise in bespoke art and music packages, have worked very closely with the pair to put together a highly collectable box set in celebration of 'Monkey'.

The fine art prints seen in this limited edition box set is a radical departure for Hewlett, far removed from his work with the Gorillaz and Tank Girl. It is fitting that he recently joined the ranks of YBA royalty, rubbing shoulders with Banksy, Emin, and Hirst as one of the Evening Standard's '1,000 Most Influential People 2008'.

With only 2,000 on the market, each box set contains exclusive artwork and music, including four incredible prints, (one of which is signed by Hewlett himself), an 80 page hard back book telling the Monkey story, and two super heavyweight 200 gram vinyl LPs with six bonus tracks.

Box sets cost £250 and are available from http://www.vinylfactory.co.uk/
